"The best ball strikers on tour can exceed a 1.50 smash factor."
FlushLab Physics
With conforming equipment, the physics won't let you reach 1.50. The maximum smash factor is derived from COR (capped at 0.83 by the rules), head mass, and loft angle. At a standard 10° driver loft and 200g head, the ceiling is ~1.465. Readings above that are measurement error or non-conforming equipment — not purer strikes.

"Swing path determines where the ball starts."

The PGA Tour® average driver attack angle is −0.9° — slightly down, not up. Optimal angle depends on your club speed, launch conditions, and spin profile. A ball carries roughly 1.2% farther per 1,000 ft of altitude and about 0.07% farther per °F above baseline. At 5,000 ft on a 95°F day, your 7-iron could fly 8–10 yards longer than at sea level in 60°F.
